Saturday night at the movies - The Drifters

We weren't planning to do much tonight, but MAddy arranged to go and stay with a friend and we didn't have anything on so Roz suggested we go and see the Watchmen.

I have to say despite initially being excited when it was announced I'd managed to convince myself it would be dreadful. The logic behind this was that I'd probably go and see it anyway and if I set my expectations really low I wouldn't be disappointed and would probably end up pleasantly surprised.

Overall I have to say I enjoyed it. It missed out a hell of a lot of the story and was definetly not as serious a story as the graphic novel but it was an alright film. Let down a bit by some of teh acting performances I suppose. Also I'd assume if you're not already familiar with the story it could be quite confusing. Still if you're a fan it's worth going to see in the cinema but you'd have to not be too precious about the story I suppose.

The other good thing was that it gave me a good option for tonight's music blip. I'd assume it's one pretty much everyone will know.
