Sally Mair - Loving life

Still harvest

I was away from home (again) on Sunday so missed our harvest festival. I was delighted when I was in church this morning to see the flowers still looking splendid although all the produce etc had gone to the basics bank.
I had one of those days today when I did lots of little things all of which in total took a long time and left me with a feeling of satisfaction for having accomplished them. Lots still to do, but a reasonable amount done.
This evening I went to the institution of a friend as Rector at St James the Less church in Penicuik. So nice to see both a happy Rector and a happy congregation, lots of singing too. I couldn't help thinking of our own church and looking forward to when our new Rector is in place but that will not be until February. New chapters beginning.
10,000 steps today, but today was a day off.
