paddlers
Well, went to photograph more work happenings with the new pipeline, and bugger me, but I'd missed all the action! lol
so I took a few record shots of the open trench, the pipe electrofused together and other bigs and pieces, and then took this shot up the Kaiapoi River on my way across the bridge back to the car.
What puzzles me is this.....
WHY do little vandals think its funny to destroy things? WHAT makes them think wrecking something is funny?
Some nasty little cretins had smashed the windscreen on one of the diggers over night, and then last night they threw the pipe in the river - the consequences of this are two fold - LOST time in having to repair the costly damage, retrieve the items from the river, LOST money in the cost of these things - costs which all get added to the cost of making these repairs. I wonder what the general community of Kaiapoi would do if they were told that this vandalism is affecting the repairs to their already shattered town after the earthquakes, and if the vandalism didn't stop, then the repairs would... the town would simply stay in its present state.... I wonder if it would make the parents of these little cretins THINK about what their children are doing, and teach them some vital respect!
Rant over!
