Beast Banks Post Office

10 Greenside; the Old Post Office  and the original  inspiration for Postman Pat the children's TV character because his author, John Cunliffe lived at 32 Greenside, just up the hill. Postman Pat was born in 1978. The post office closed in 2003. Mrs Goggins was made up. In the TV series the post office is in a fictional valley called Greendale, not dissimilar from Greenside but more like the real life Longsleddale just north of here. No sign of Jess ..........
