Today's transport choice

What a cool train! The Shinkansen (or bullet) train is great; super fast, incredibly smooth, spacious (loads of leg room) and pretty frequent. What is not to like?!

This example was part of our journey to Kyoto. It started with a bus replacement service! Surprisingly, it was only a few minutes late but drive down a beautiful wooded valley from where we were staying all the way to the north coast. Well worth the slight delay.
