Memories in a Box
A few years ago, I was in a Secret Santa Christmas gift exchange on a Scottie forum. It was so much fun on that forum, reading about everyone and their little Scottie dogs.
Well, I discovered the person who was my Secret Santa had specifically asked for me and this woman was incredible! She absolutely went overboard, lavishing me with the most wonderful gifts I had ever seen. She must have spent well over the fifty dollar cap. Seriously!
One of the gifts, or, rather two, were the cutest little caps for Angus and Murphy. They had a nicely embroidered patch on them regarding Santa Watch! Angus, who seemingly loved getting dressed up and posing for the camera, was a natural. Murphy, on the other hand, always looked forlorn, holding his head low as though being punished! With the help of Daughter, I was able to capture a few really nice photos of the "boys" in their garb!
As I was finishing up packing away the last of the Christmas goodies, I came across the caps. The kids had kind of hidden them, knowing I might get melancholy, thinking about out little Angus. (he passed away in October 2011). Well, just for fun, I decided to do a portrait of Murphy.
Sounds easy, right? HA! Not. I grabbed a treat and the cap and a little scarf, along with Murphy and we went outside. I placed him on a firm snowbank and asked him to sit. He immediately sprawled over the snow.....
And so, the best I could do!
