Wet day...

Captured this wee fella on the way home he was sitting in a puddle on the road quite the thing, I had to get out & shoo him out of the way of the car & take a blip to of course. He is now safe & happy in a proper pond.

Spent a wonderful day with Mike, lovely long lie followed by a day away to the borders. Started at Lockerbie, Langholm, Hawick then Laudder & back home again. It was terrible weather but a brilliant day. We stopped at Hawick to visit my favourite glass making place, he was doing a glass blowing demonstration when we arrived, and it was amazing to watch. There are only about 6 places in Brittan that still make glass like this now, he has been doing it for 46 years now. Went a wee bit daft & bought 5 paperweights (not all for me). They were all so beautiful & different I just could not resist. As the man said (he knows mum & me quite well now we go a few times a year to buy some glass) they only increase in value, the more intricate & rare the better. I even managed to get another one from his personal collection, which he is usually very reluctant to sell. He even engraved his signature & the date on the bottom of each piece.
