Internet Gongoozler Turned RYA Certified Helmsman

My Day:
Up at 06:00 out of the door by 07:00 and drove to a small marina in Surrey where I started a two-day RYA Inland Waterways Helmsmen Course.


So, with two instructors and myself and two other students and a narrowboat we have been messing around on a river.


Today is the first time I have every seen a narrowboat in the flesh and no previous sailing experience other than a bit at school 45 years ago I was greeted with some surprise.


I had a great time and am looking forward to tomorrow.
