Flocking Bullfinches

I have been busy all day, but don't feel I've achieved much. I tried to upgrade a friend's iMac but my installation disk couldn't be 'read' which was very annoying. I have got it running better but wished I could have helped more.

The grey light today wasn't inspiring, but I did spend some time outside watching birds after I noticed two buzzards flying relatively low above the trees situated on the banks of the stream in the valley bottom. I tried to film them as they banked around in circles to climb up high. A crow was rather incensed by their presence and attempted to bomb the buzzards to move them on but my record of this interplay was abysmal. My settings were all of and I couldn't get any detail of their plumage when looking up against the grey clouds.

Later on I stepped outside again and watched the small birds flying up to the feeders, as well as a robin who kept looking directly at me from another tree close by. Then I saw a gaggle of bullfinches at the bottom of our neighbour's garden who were perched in a hazel tree. I have cropped the image heavily to try and show you them. there are seven birds in all in this shot. I do love their colour, especially on these dark days.
