More art and deliciousness

Lazy morning in bed with cats and tea to watch France beat Tonga by two points! Great stuff, Tonga were all revved up.  Super afternoon too, when I went Art and photo hunting in Taksim's Istiklal caddisi (again).  Started with the Beyoglu October festival's book market stalls in Taksim square and then strolled the busy length of this always vibrant street of thousands, taking photos as I walked.  Today's final choice was the ice cream seller taking a break at the gates of Saint Antoine's basilica, where I spent a little while.  Ended up at Meşher gallery again, here  looking at the ceramics - such incredible stuff - particularly noticing the medieval style greyhounds (extra) before finally going to the same Beyoglu back street bar as last Sunday for a cool and refreshing pint before taking the metro home. Called in at Akmerkez for a few items - well, two beers and a take away cheese and spinach pide (Turkish pizza) - total yum score of incalculable deliciousness. Walked home in order to deserve the calories.
