Soggy Sunday

Poured down again last night. But the sun came out so Fletch and I set off for a walk while M hoovered. 
We were going to walk up to the sea wall and beyond  but the road under the railway bridge is still completely flooded and the water level was even higher, so that it covered the path. Fletch wasn't too happy.
So we walked towards the Abbey along the Red River ( more of a beck really ) It was several feet higher than normal and only a few inches below the level of the footbridge. Half way there the heavens opened and it poured, but it did stop thank goodness. We had to turn back later because the river water had gone over the path and I was told it was even worse farther on. 
Heavy rain forecast for the rest of the week  :(
