Seville
The day began with a tour of Seville and it’s beautiful park - María Luisa which contained some notable buildings . We had a ride on a boat on the river past the Expo ‘92 parks and buildings . Just as the one in the early years of the 20th century bankrupted the city so did this one . The emphasis was on science and must have been impressive at the time .
Later we wandered through the ancient Jewish quarter with tiny streets and artisan shops . We peered at the cool and inviting ‘patios’ famous in this part of Spain .
We passed several museums but were glad to rest in the gardens as it was so hot .
In the evening we sampled tapas outside at a welcoming bar .
The highlight was great Flamenco theatre - such ene4gy and verve - a wonderful experience.
