Land.

I went with Luis to his patch of land in the suburb of Matola Rio. He bought it off his father at a good price and Luis dreams of creating a therapy centre for reiki and meditation, which he currently practises in a studio in Maputo.

Here Luis is talking to João, who has the same name as the majority of Mozambican men. João is paid each month to guard the plot and try and keep crops alive, which has so far not been successful as water is hard to come by.
