Ivy Mining Bee

A walk at Portland brought us by an arresting sight for October ! A swarm of mining bees swirling around the green vegetation on Portland , Research proved them to be Ivy Bees who are new arrivals to the Uk . They are the only ones which appear later in the year . They were fascinating to watch .
