Autumn Colours, Walsall Arboretum

I made a silly mistake this morning, leaving home with one camera and NO memory cards!  I was just left with the camera on my phone if anything had come up that might be worth photographing.  Actually I did have a memory card, just not the right format for the camera.  When you literally never go out without a camera of one sort or the other, this is a novice's mistake.

In the end I made use of the iPhone camera and even made the effort to take multiple pictures to create this Pep Ventosa image.  I just loved the way the early afternoon light was illuminating these autumn colours across the pool at the arboretum.  The technique helped simplify the scene and offer up some lovely reflections from the water in the foreground.  L watched on in amusement, watching the people walking by wondering what on earth I was doing, especially when I turned my attention to a tree bench (one that circles the whole of the trunk of the tree).
