Teenager

Our eldest granddaughter was thirteen last week, so my blip had to be a record of this event. 

The day started off with dire weather - wind, rain, cloud. Then suddenly the sun came out and by the time family arrived it was a lovely sunny afternoon. We walked along the promenade for lunch at the fish restaurant just a short walk from us. We even sat outside, which was good for the dogs. The food here is exceptional and everyone got just what they wanted and everything was eaten. 

Then time was spent on the beach on the way back. There was cake and an exchange of presents and there was a moment when, probably for the first time in her thirteen years, the birthday girl was lost for words, so overjoyed was she to get her own laptop (my old one which still has a few years left in it and I have cleared and reinstalled the operating system - just like new.) 

It's been a lovely day and once again the weather was perfect.
