Autumn Colours Beginning

The Larches above Ovronnaz are turning yellow and then will change to orange as autumn progresses. We were treated to superb views towards the Grand Combin which kept appearing in windows in the clouds. I love the way old Larches weathe too, when they have been struck down by lightning or avalanches (one such gnarly ancient in extras).

Steve and Beverly have just left after their flying visit and I need a nap before we go out to friends again tonight.... such a social whirl at the moment. Sorry not to be able to check out your journals very much.
