Mutant Ninja Turtles

This Fall on our 9th annual Michigan golf trip, we played 91-holes in two-and-a-half days.  The other team (Dan & Dan) won 3 games to 2.  In the last round, in twilight, my partner Jai and I tied it up on the 17th hole.  It was near dark on 18. Jai had a great shot but it rolled into the edge of a pond just off the green, about 3-inches deep.  Jai stood in water in his brand new golf shoes to get it out.  But neither of us could chip it on the green. We did on the next one, but lost by one.  The Dan's did a Don Corneleous Soul Train dance and twirled their putters like the Ninja Turtles, Donatello and Michealangelo.

We all played the best-ever golf of our lives. The Dan’s were on fire paring or birding every hole.  The only way we could score was to get a birdie.   It was the much fun we ever had in 9-years that we have been doing this.
