Anglesey Abbey

What a fab day. Despite the A14 being closed and having to drive a very congested diversion I went to Anglesey Abbey today. I met up with my textiles group and Pauline our previous tutor.

The grounds of the abbey are beautiful and there were lots of families out enjoying them which was nice to see. The winter garden was stunning with the silver birch (extra) and the cyclamen. The dahlia garden was beautiful too, I must plant more dahlias next year!.

The house was so interesting, not pompous or stuffy like some stately homes. It felt so homely. Very eclectic and quirky.

We had a great catch up and it was great to everyone.
