Skipton Puppet Festival

We moved the boat into the basin at Skipton this morning.
The main reason being that it was so loud where we moored last night at the far end of the town. There was a nightclub nearby with live music boom-boom-booming, kids congregated on a bench beside the boat just being kids, but worst of all the couple in a boat right across from us had an almighty row which went on for about 2 hours! They had obviously been drinking and I am not exagerating when I say every second word was F***!

Anyway we are happy where we are now and this weekend is Skipton Puppet Festival.
The puppets are incredible - I am in awe of such workmanship.
There were giant puppets, life size ones, tiny ones and all manner of birds and animals including a fire breathing dragon. Magical!
I was really taken with this little bird who could spread his wings and fly. He landed on my hand and pecked my fingers.
His owner had made him herself.

This evening we are at Skipton Little Theatre to see 'A Woman In White'.
It's our first time here and it's a lovely small venue with a very elaborate stage set. 
Looks promising
Have to switch off as it's about to begin!
