Maggi Hambling's Scallops at Aldebrough.
I developed and scanned the B & W 5 x 4in film that I took on yesterdays flying visit to Aldebrough. Because of the imminent rain I had to get a move on and make a couple of exposures quickly. Even so, I'm quite pleased with how these came out.
Maggi Hambling's sculputure celebrates the composer Benjamin Britten. The four-metre-high (13 ft) steel sculpture is pierced with the words "I hear those voices that will not be drowned" from his opera Peter Grimes.
Looking forward to spending a little more time here soon...
This evening it's Harvest Supper at Shudy Camps.
