Lake Pukaki

It was a horrible day for the Mt Cook marathon- windy and wet. We still drove up to Mt Cook from Twizel and saw 3 friends running their different distances. Runners could select 5km, 10km, a half or full marathon. It was extremely cold for them all, but it was fun cheering them on.
Driving back along Lake Pukaki (main photo) was so different to its normal beautiful colours, so I’ve chosen a mono for today.
Frida was thrilled to see us, and is exhausted (extra)- Mango and  Moose and their parents were so good to her, and she had a marvellous time. However, she is pleased to be home and getting warm by the fire. It’s been a lovely few days away.
