Port Logan Vanishing

As the sun vanished into the sea at port Logan we all gathered to watch the film Vanishing. - which had been scheduled for its. Premiere here early in the year but cancelled last minute because of foul weather. Very strange sat watching in the old lifeboat station a film which was shoot just outside and down at the lighthouse.
The film is strong and features
Gerard Butler (Hunter Killer) and Peter Mullan ("Ozark") star in this tense, action-packed thriller based on true events. After three lighthouse keepers arrive for work on a remote Scottish isle, they make a fateful discovery: a wrecked rowboat-with a chest full of gold. As a mysterious boat heads toward the island, the three men make a choice that will change their lives forever, ensnaring them in a web of greed, paranoia, and murder.
The other film of note shot around here and at Logan gardens was the cult movie the Wicker Man
Back in 1973 from Director Robin Hardy and staring Edward Woodward , Christopher Lee, Britt Ekland, Diane Cilento, Ingrid Pitt, Lindsay Kemp etc.
