Winter washes in

The waves, the wind and the wild waters were devoid of any human swimmers today. However, I did witness an epic battle between a fishing cormorant and a robber seagull. The former not only enjoyed its breakfast but dipped out of the gull’s sight every time it tried to wrestle the fish from the cormorant’s bill. Later we leafletted the street about the temporary road closure. Even later we went to the opening cabaret of The Portobello Book Festival.
