Flower Friday: Hibiscus

We managed to get Sophie to school on time this morning; it was lovely to see her greeting her various friends as we bumped into them on the way from the car to the classroom.

We rewarded ourselves with a breakfast of omelette, hash browns and beans at the local Sainsbury's before heading home to get to grips with baking bread inthe new oven for the first time (me) and preparing more apples for the freezer (Tess). I even got round to storing away in the dry more wood for kindling we'd been given in the summer - a sure sign that it's feeling more autumnal.

The hibiscus is still full of bud, which was handy for this week's Flower Friday. Pretty colurful too, so I've also tagged it for Hobbs' October Colur Blitz
