Felled

This area of the park was quite densely wooded until yesterday when a couple of council guys were there with a chainsaw. I asked them what was going on and they’d been charged with thinning it out to remove the shade from the adjacent wooden bridge, which was in danger of rotting. I wish I’d got a ‘before’ picture as it was always a magical little copse with a stream running through it, whereas the ‘after’...isn’t.
