Breaking Through

An impossibly hot and muggy day after all the rain and with humidity in the 70s, mosquitoes were nipping. I didn't want to stay out very long.

The reeds are well and truly wilting and what was once a wall of green is now breaking apart, revealing leaves on the turn catching some light from above.

I do like the rich colours of fall and they stand out so well against the remaining dark green reeds.
