Birthday Boy's BBQ

This is the big boy doing his own BBQ, his birthday was on a weekday, so he wanted his Braai (BBQ) today.

They played computer games, went out with R snr to play squash, came back and had a refreshing swim and then the steaks and chicken had to be cooked. C made a lovely 'Pap tert' , a tart made of maize porridge layered with a tomato, onion, mushroom and sweetcorn relish, topped with grated cheese and baked in the oven! Yummy!!

Inbetween they ate chips and dip, chocolate cake and the famous carrot cake, made from the recipe of my friend (my twin) in Stockholm.

Tonight three of them are sleeping over at Joe's house, playing computer games till late, because Joe's mum is alone, his dad and brother had gone fishing.
