Not quite pumpkin

D brought this monster back from the allotment yesterday to see what it was like inside - well, I dissected it today and found a huge amount of rather soggy fibrous material along with unripe seeds. Once I'd extricated the actual flesh (also slightly unripe) it only came to about 2 kilos (the whole beast was around 5), but that was more than enough to make a huge pot of soup to Ogatodomar's recipe - you'll find the recipe in his comment on this blip.

Otherwise rather a quiet sort of day, feeling somewhat out of sorts - possibly down to the flu jag I had yesterday.
