Inside the Dumo in Brindisi

Last night gave us our first rain in nearly two weeks.

But what was spectacular was the thunderstorm that lasted for ages. Not the night for going onto the roof to take photos.

Light rain persisted this morning so we headed out to Brindisi in the afternoon to explore. No real expectations but ambled around the narrow streets ending up at the harbour where a coffee and gelato went down a treat.

Late afternoon headed back to the car via the Dumo.

Lovely stained glass windows but two things caught my attention. The lighting on the Virgin Mary in an archway looked great so worth a shot. The extra is something I have not seen before in a church; a horse and rider. Made me smile so took a shot of this as well.
