In the pink

A tiny beetle was minding its own business inside this beautiful cosmos flower. Lovely to see on a cold grey day, particularly since bumblebees start dying off about now.
‘‘Twas ever thus, circle of life and all that, but I do find this time of year dispiriting in spite of the wonderful autumn colours.
Roll on spring.
