Heron in Flight

9°C  -  5 mph Wind  -  Visibility 5.6 miles  -  Light Rain  -  Mostly Cloudy.  I did go down to the Basin today despite it drizzling.  It did clear up a bit and a Rainbow formed.  Still not good enough to get a good shot of the seals  -  the Island that forms at low tide is about a mile from the Hide.  Five Herons around  -  I managed one in flight  -  not particularly good but a nice spread of wings, I thought.  When I got home there were a couple of Magpies feeding on the fallen Crab Apples  -  one came onto a feed tray for his dessert  -  see my Extra.
