SheepToiletCowToilet
First day back at work - which came with all the struggles to get out of bed on time that you might expect! Having managed to crawl out of the house early and hurl myself through the train doors into a crowded tinpot carriage, I still wound up being late. Owing to the weather (which reached a high of 42.5 degrees celcius), the trains were in meltdown so I scuttled through the office doors feeling very gypped (I could have slept another 30 minutes and shown up at the same time!)
Was greeted by several (heavy) boxes of books that I'd posted down from north Qld - as predicted the postman was not happy and had exacted revenge during transit by ripping one box to shreds (using his teeth, judging by the evidence). A second box failed to arrive altogether, although one item from it showed up by itself. One does wonder how they knew where to send an unaddressed stuffed toy. The moral of this long-winded story is:
a) to use registered post because the only boxes that arrived intact were the ones I'd bothered registering, and
b) I should never write blip entries while half-watching Bridget Jones on telly because I invariably wind up with complete and utter codswallop.*
Went for a walk after work and wound up heading for Woolloomooloo. Do you know how long it's taken me to learn how to spell that???? YEARS. It was only when someone told me the magic words of "Sheep toilet cow toilet"** that I got the hang of it.
Had difficulty choosing between the colour and B&W versions of this shot looking across the Eastern Distributor towards Woolloomooloo- here is the colour one for comparison. Can't explain why I chose the B&W option and now I am having second thoughts....
Annnnd this is a very disjointed ramble, so I might have to do a bit of editing in the morning!

* In my defence, it was the sequel to Bridget Jones, and I wasn't sure whether I'd ever actually seen it. Turns out I must have - despite not having any memory of the rest of the film, I do remember Colin Firth and Hugh Grant wrestling in a fountain at the end. Clearly my brain is soooo busy with more important things that it deleted everything but the noteworthy bit. ;-)
