WWT London: Wet Magpie Goose
Quirkier in large.
Well, as tricky as it was not to pick an Emperor goose or a nēnē, the magpie geese were the stars today (other than the emperors and nēnēs); the four magpie geese were being less aloof than usual, and I even got pretty close to two of them when they were snoozing on a wooden viewing platform... I watched them getting pushed around by the others, pushing each other around, and washing, flapping, and preening.
I also got amusing shots of the usual suspects, and it was uplifting to spend time with the adorable emperors.
Today's others are all here (or right from Solitary nēnē)
Other favourites:
Emperors and nēnēs: Marauding, Accusatory, Nēnē fan, Adorable emperor, Nēnē and emperor shapes, Emperors grazing, Sneakin', Drinkin'
Magpie geese: Perky pair, Grabbing leaves, Flapping
Others: Hardhead face-off, Call duck calling
