A stunning autumn day. A crisp run on the beach before breakfast. A bus ride to Gosford for an inspirational walk around the Gosford “pleasure grounds”. A heron was perched watchfully - high in a tree beside the lake. Lunch in the bothy. A walk around Aberlady to spy on recently arrived pink footed geese. Home again by bus. An early evening ahead of a voluntary night shift in the wee small hours tomorrow.
