August in October

Today (well, yesterday, as I forgot to post!), broke records for the hottest day on record for October 1st. We managed to get up to 37 C with the humidex!!  This was the scene in the morning when I arrived at school, shortly after sunrise.  Hazy fog, brilliant sun - signs of the day to come.

The day ended with a major storm that literally ripped through leaving many in southern Ontario without power.  Drive home was like driving in a snowstorm as everyone had to go so so slow for visibility reasons.
