The Magnolia next door

I worked near on 12 hours today; the enthusiastic early start didn't result in an early finish. Glad that I had taken a few quick shots of the Magnolia over the wall when I was about to leave this morning. Isn't it a bit late for it to flower again? Aren't the buds magnificent? 

This is Barbara's Magnolia (she is no longer with us) and she'd be pleased to see it still thriving despite efforts by current neighbour to reverse his van into it on a daily basis. It's also pink for the Breast Cancer Awareness Pinktober which I had no idea about until browsing journals this evening.
