MORE STOOKS
This time on the North Mainland at Ollaberry looking for a Bee-eater in a bitter wind. Goodness knows what the poor thing is doing here, though it caught two Bees within a couple of minutes. The extra image is a very poor photo of it.
G then went off climbing a large hill, Ronas Hill, to look for the Snowy Owl. He didn't find it. Another man who came down off the hill saw the Owl but fell over on the way back and was a bit bloodied and muddied. My spare tissues came in handy.
I sat in the car, in the sun and out of the wind and knitted. Yes!
Homewards we had a slight detour for a Red-backed Shrike perched handily on some nearby fence posts.
Home now for a lamb hotpot which has been burbling away in the slow cooker while we were out. Just the frozen peas to heat up. Holiday cooking at its best!
