What an earth!

First stop today was Netherurd Hall where Andy is doing a periodic check of the electrical system. Two hours later, I’m back there hearing how the loop impedance is fluctuating wildly - constituting a failure.

I call SP Energy Networks. They send a linesman out who tests the earth and confirms it’s a problem. We’ll need a team to climb the poles and look at the transformer. They came after dark, and some time later called me to say that the transformer would need replaced. The pitch has all dripped out and apparently the earth writer has NEVER connected to anything.

While all these dramas were unfolding, Nick and Angus start clearing up the glass around the sauna. Nick goes on to fit a window and Angus returns to Glasgow.
