The Great Room

Scottie's Castle was built before the Depression, but never finished. The State of California now maintains the property and uses Park Rangers for guides. Located in Death Valley, it has survived because of an underground spring that delivers over 200 gallons per hour. This is enough to support the entire estate and the groves of citrus and palm.
