After such a soggy weekend we were keen to get out of the house today.......we headed towards Taste Buds, a little cafe near Rufford. On arrival we couldnt actually turn into the canal basin where its situated, all coned off, with pumps and pipes leading out to thr road......flooded or so it seemed! We headed on to Sootys Garden Centre, and their cafe Sweeps.

Hub had fish chips and mushy peas, to make up for the disappointing one last Monday! I need to "be good" after a weekend of indulgences, so jacket potato with roasted veg and goats cheese for me.....it was lovely!!

After lunch we decided we may as well drive the last 15 mins into Southport. The tide was right in, not something you see too often in Southport, see extra. As todays Mono Monday is Relaxation I thought this shot of these older guys chilling, two listening to the resident "singer" and one dancing like no one was watching fit the bill.

The forecast rain did arrive around 5pm by which time we were back home.

Spent a couple of hours in the kitchen, made a big pan of beef & vegetable soup, then dinner which was a lovely big chicken salad :-)

My team on tv tonight.... so I have skipped Camera Club. Its currently 1-1, not sure its going to end like that though :-/
