Not where we expected to be today...

... but once again, let's hear it for the NHS...
Short version - my nephew collapsed with a heart attack last night, but due to the excellent attentions of his partner who performed CPR for 20 minutes til the paramedics took over; those paramedics and the doctor who arrived with the second ambulance and was able to administer more drugs; the cardiac department at Nottingham City Hospital; and the critical care team team who looked after him overnight; this morning he was able to sit up and talk to us.
It was touch and go during the night - a case of hoping for the best and preparing for the worst - but we have watched him get visibly stronger throughout the day.
Lovely to see the trace of his heartbeats as we left him in good hands this evening...
