Motherlove among the debris
This nursing pair of Atlantic grey seals were not bothered by the fishing floats (and a tennis ball far right) that had predictably been washed up into the tiny cove under the cliffs.
Tonight's extra high tide and the turbulent state of the sea are likely to present a greater danger, at least to the pup.
I don't imagine that non-human animals distinguish between natural and unnatural hazards. Only we have to live with the knowledge of what we have done to our global environment.
