rote learning...

My goodness, what a morning I have had!  My eardrums are sore!!  This is another primary school outside Lundazi.  The teacher was very much a teacher!  It was rote learning all morning - reciting first numbers and then letters and sounds.  Once they had recited both numbers and sounds they then had to write in their books!  Quite a depressing morning for me....

I asked about play but the teachers idea of play is singing songs!  I have an enormous challenge on my hands!!

One more school here tomorrow and then I will go to Chipata in the afternoon!
