The wood turners shed

Early this evening I dropped off my neatly labelled pieces of wood and my drawing to Ray.

Ray is an active member of the men's shed and has many small jobs for me. This time he's going to build Jasper an industrial strength cat tree.

Once it's built and back home I'll add cushiony bits to the perches. I think that it will be so solid and heavy, that once it's in place, it won't be moving.

Being a wood turner Ray has stacks of beautiful wood in his shed. Some is rescued from earthquake wrecked buildings. Often when a tree is felled members of the Wood Turning Association are called to rescue the wood.
