Bindibu Expedition, Day 7
We travelled to the Bilbarrd Mulga camp today, just south of the Stretch Range.
The photo shows some mature spinifex, having grown in its distinctive doughnut shape. If we had to put our swags near the spinifex we were very careful getting out in the middle of the night, as it's very prickly!
We visited the Bilbarrd Outstation, which is one of Australia's saddest experiments. I can't image how horrible it was for the people who were made to live there, and how they lived out their lives.
The Stretch Range hills were very distinctive, rocky and red.
Those flies! Unbelievable. Thank heaven for fly nets.
