Three Tenors, Sonoma Style

The temperatures dropped below 40° last night and although the sun was shining this morning , winter had definitely arrived. The end of summer zephyrs have turned to a blustery and chilling north wind and it has taken some extraordinary action such as going to bed (and getting under the covers) to warm up. We could turn on the heat but this seems excessive when it is still, if only barely, September.

We went across town to the Flying Goat for an Aztec Mocha where OilMan made his inevitable pronouncement that he had forgotten how awesome they are and how we should go there ‘at least once a week’ .
We had just enough time to regroup before going to VJB for a charcuterie plate on the patio in the sun. OilMan and Marc came back from the tasting room with two bottles of wine (one red and one white) into which we made good inroads. Before tottering home in time to say good bye (for now) to Marc and Teri, I took a picture of the three tenors (accordions concealed beneath the balustrade) who can out to entertain those of us assembled below.

Even though we didn’t finish the two bottles of wine, it is not surprising that it was necessary to crawl under the covers. Soon we will revert to our ‘school night schedule’ after a lovely weekend of friendship and activity.
