Shakespeare’s Birthplace
No photos today on our journey home, so I have used this one from yesterday. When Shakespeare’s descendants fell on hard times in the 18th century they opened the house to the public. Over the following hundred plus years, visitors ‘autographed’ bits of it, and this window remains. If you zoom you can see that it is covered with signatures. Now under glass, and I have circled Henry Irving’s!
