Thanks for all your comments - I'm sending sunny thoughts your way in the north! It's already 34 degrees and only nine in the morning - plenty of people in the surf though.

Extreme weather today - the flipside of all the sunshine - severe bushfire danger warnings with high temperatures (45+) and strong winds predicted in the area. There's already bushfires burning and evacuations up on the tablelands, so will wait and see how it goes, and whether it comes this far down.
