Devoke Water

A few days away in the West of the Lake District for Team IttH.
We awoke to weather so foul we questioned the plan, flood warnings everywhere, village shows cancelled.
But we decided à change is as good as a rest, so early afternoon we set off. We were rewarded by brightening skies and distant glimpses of glowering mountains.
As we crossed Birker Fell the sun made an appearance, we needed no encouragement to pull over and head off on a wander, Devoke Water beautiful as ever.
